Join our expanding Electronic Warfare Operations Support Group (EWOS), a team of 60+ specialists at the forefront of EW. Our engineers, scientists, and ex‑military experts leverage advanced operational experience to optimise mission capability, safeguard personnel, and protect critical platforms.
How you’ll support us
We’re continuing to expand our team at Portsdown West, Hampshire, working on high-impact, state-of-the-art research, development, and delivery projects led by our technical customer, Dstl.
Working primarily on-site at Fareham, Hampshire (4 days) and Porton Down, Salisbury (1 day) or the other way around, collaborating with a talented project team to create innovative solutions to entirely new and exciting challenges. Focusing on RADAR and/or RF modelling within the maritime domain, you’ll explore both current and future systems and concepts, directly supporting projects that push the boundaries of Defence innovation.

Hands-on experience in this field will prepare you to meet the core requirements and excel in this role.
Essential:
- Degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g. Maths, Physics or Engineering, inc Software Engineering).
- Knowledge of model and simulations techniques applied to real-world scenarios
- RF domain knowledge and/or RF modelling experience (e.g. RF environments, RF systems understanding, RF countermeasure development etc.)
- Experience in using models and tools in order to provide evidence data (including data analysis with Python and/or MATLAB)
- Experience of writing modelling documentation and system tests
Desirable:
- Experience with Verification and Validation (V&V) of models, tools and systems.
- Maritime domain experience of conducting maritime engagement modelling in an RF environment (e.g SADM)
- Experience of integrating plug-ins into existing modelling environments.
