Are you an experienced IT Engineer with proven line management experience, looking for a role where you can combine people management with hands-on technical delivery?
Join our IT Service Delivery team, working on secure and technically challenging projects for MASS, our customers and industry partners. You’ll manage and develop a team of Delivery Engineers while applying your technical expertise across critical systems, advanced networks, IT projects and solution design.
With regular travel to UK customer sites, occasional overseas trips and some extended periods away from home, this varied role offers the opportunity to work in interesting environments, build strong customer relationships and make a real impact.
How you’ll support us
Working across a specified customer contract, you’ll take ownership of technical tasking and IT project delivery, balancing business impact, timescales, resources and security requirements.
Your day-to-day work will include monitoring and maintaining critical systems and advanced networks, providing 3rd line support and troubleshooting complex hardware, software and networking issues.

Your technical knowledge and forward-thinking approach will contribute to system design and solution architecture. You’ll also attend customer and technical planning meetings, using your expertise to help develop effective solutions and provide knowledgeable technical input.
Essential experience
- Proven line management experience, including supporting, developing and managing the performance of team members.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Client technologies, including core Windows domain services.
- A good understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, routers and switches across multiple platforms.
- Experience of system design and integration, following best practice and Secure by Design methodologies.
- Working knowledge of virtualisation technologies across multiple platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software and networking issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers.
- A creative and practical approach to problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail.
Desirable experience
- Experience working with MoD or other secure, air-gapped networks.
- Project management experience.
It would be great if you also have experience working in highly secure or security-conscious environments, although what matters most is your technical expertise, leadership experience and ability to build positive relationships with both customers and colleagues.

- A UK National and eligible to work in the UK
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) / Developed Vetting (DV)-level security clearance
