Job Description

We are looking for maternity cover over a 12 month period as an Operations Manager to be responsible for a Digital Forensics (DF) Managed Service.

The role will be based in South London, on Customer premises, managing an on-site team operating as an interdependent part of the customer’s organisation.Your responsibility will include the management, maintenance and development of self-service digital forensic workstations sited at disparate, networked locations around London; and technical services including research and development and DF forensic analysis via sub contracted service providers. A key element will involve the management of a supply chain consisting of software vendors, DF lab service providers and academia.

You will be required to uphold our company values, principally focussed on business excellence and success through customer relationships via a strong sense of common purpose in your team. Your aim will be to ensure overall customer satisfaction, identify process improvements, create solutions and work with the customer and our whole supply chain to implement the service.You will also be required to grow the account by providing the same service to other customers.

Mandatory Requirements:

Applications - Reasonable facility with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

Markets – UK Law Enforcement, Digital Forensics

Other: Knowledge of digital forensics with the associated standards and governance. Understands investigative techniques and the links between people, processes and technology in such an environment

Appreciation of ISO 17025 requirements and other standards in relation to Forensic Science

Security cleared and used to working on secure sites

Engenders an atmosphere of trust

Established and proven programme / project management experience

Supply chain management experience

Commercially aware with strong business acumen

Strong leadership and communication skills

Willingness to work in an environment where you may be expected to work out of normal business hours and be on call

Desirable Skill Requirements:

Software – Awareness of Digital Forensics Tools

Markets – Home Office, UK Government

Other: Previous experience working with academia

Proven track record of delivery of IT services to demanding clients

APMP, Prince 2

Experience of working with and maintaining the corporate identity of deployed teams

ICT or Research & Development technical background

You will be required to hold or be prepared to undergo, UK security clearance + NPPV3

This is a fixed term contract position for a 12 month period.
