Head of Delivery, Law Enforcement (Digital Forensic Services)

MASS is a technology company with a 35-year heritage in defence,government and industrial markets in the UK and around the world.  Our Cyber & Law Enforcement Group provides a comprehensive range of cyber and digital forensics services to our customers and we are currently looking to fill a leadership role within the Group’s Law Enforcement Digital Forensics team.

The team is currently engaged in a major programme to deliver a fullsuite of digital forensics managed services into one of the UK’s largest Law Enforcement organisations.  We are recruiting for a Head of Delivery to see this programme through, as well as grow the business in the UK and abroad.

Reporting into the Group Head Cyber & Law Enforcement, the Head of Delivery will run their team and work closely at all levels with our customersto ensure successful ongoing delivery of our digital forensic managed services offering.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overall leadership and management of the digital forensics programme

  • Stakeholder engagement and governance with our UK Law Enforcement customers

  • Line management of the MASS digital forensics team

  • Progress reporting within MASS and with our customers

  • Supporting the Group Head’s strategy for business growth

  • Delivery of revenue targets and management of programme cost, time and resources budgets

About you

You will be a dynamic and experienced leader with a track record in successful delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder and technical projects.    

You excel in the management of multiple projects and are able to handle complex problems seeing them through to solution and communicating along the way.

You are highly motivated, positive and with excellent interpersonal skills which you use to deliver quality and success across whatever you do.

You are hands-on when needed and accept ongoing responsibility in your stride.

You have excellent commercial skills and take ownership of your project financials.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a top-down style along with attention to detail.

You ideally have had experience and reputation in the UK Law Enforcement sector, having engaged with UK Police Forces and related Government Agencies in your previous roles.

Essential skills & experience

  • Experience of delivering complex technical projects in a large multi-stakeholder environment

  • Experience of leading a team delivering managed services and technical products

  • Line management and associated business processes

  • Stakeholder management and governance

  • Project, programme and contract management

  • Commercial acumen, budget management and financial tracking

  • Experience of the software development lifecycle, Agile and Waterfall processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritise and solve complex problems

  • Self-motivated, ability to manage own time and team resources

  • Used to working under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Highly competent with business reporting processes and administration such as, summary dashboards, deep dive reports, financial tracking and so on

  • Fully IT literate.

Desirable skills & experience

  • Experience and relationships from working within the UK Law Enforcement Sector such as police forces or, HMG Authorities such as Home Office and NCA, or within the sector supply chain.

  • Broad knowledge of digital forensics methodologies, operational concepts and policies including device data extraction, cell site analysis, data handling, training needs and so on.

  • Knowledge and relationships across the digital forensics supply chain ecosystem.

  • Track record in establishing and successful running a managed service.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.

  • APMP and/or Prince 2 qualified.

Please note that relevant experience will be considered in lieu of qualifications.

Other things you should know

The role requires presence in both London and St Neots, so you will need to be flexible in terms of travel and location.

Overseas travel may be required.

You will already hold, or be prepared to undergo, UK NPPV3 security clearance.   Successful appointment for this role will be conditional on achieving this clearance. Other levels of clearance may also be needed in the future.
