Job Description
Provide support to HR Business Partners dealing with all employee relations issues e.g. short term and long term absence, investigations, disciplinary, grievances, performance etc. and referring matters to the relevant HR Business Partner.

Promote improved communication and engagement within and across sites by building relationships with line managers and employees and facilitating communication between them.

Use information gathered from management reports to provide insight to HR Business Partners on key areas of focus such as sickness absence, employee turnover, and exit interview trends. Work with HR Business Partners and line managers to develop initiatives to address areas of concern.

Develop materials and delivers training with the HR Team to build the skills and knowledge of line managers e.g. absence management, handling disciplinary etc.

Support the HR Business Partners during collective and individual consultation processes associated with organisational changes and changes to terms and conditions of employment.

Where appropriate identify opportunities for improvement of HR processes and adopt best practice and provide support in projects to implement agreed improvements.

Support HR Business Partners by contributing to the review and updating of HR policies and procedures, documentation in line with legislation changes and best practice.

Support Managers in interviews where appropriate.

Attend Head Office when required and cover absences.


Be familiar with Company policy including Information and Physical Security and the Business Management System.

Experience of working in a HR role preferably multi-site

Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures

Experience in interpreting, advising and implementing procedures

Ability to use a HR Information System including accessing, inputting and compiling data

Communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group and produce succinct correspondence and reports

The ability to search, analyse and reason logically within tight and often conflicting timescales

Salary will be pro-rata 22.5 hours per week.
